On the occasion of launching SALAM project “Preventing Violent Extremism in Tunisia”, and in the framework of the OPEV-Tunisia dynamic, a press conference was held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the headquarters of UGTT (Union Générale Tunisienne du Travail).
In this press conference, representative of partners organizations presented SALAM and its aims, where every organization gave its position in this project and what they are going to implement for the whole period of work.
The conference was opened by the secretary general of the Tunisian Labor Union mr. Noureddine Tabboubi, the assistants secretary generals mr Samir Cheffi, and mrs Naima Hammami.
After the welcoming speech, NOVACT was given the word to talk about SALEM and the organizations behind it.
From Free Sight Association, the president mrs Arbia Jbeli talked about the association’s work regarding PVE and its approach. Also, representatives of LTDH, ATFD, GVC did the same.

On 25 January 2018, Free Sight Association as one of the founders of OPEV took part in panels of the study day by the Euro-Mediterranean Institute in partnership with the International Institute of Non-Violence and the Observatory for the Prevention of Violence. Violent Extremism in the presence of representatives of the European Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and civil society organizations. Led by the European Institute entitled: Three Views on Violent Extremism in Tunisia.
Free Sight Association – 02-03 December 2017: A training course on “Theory of Change” for young men and women from the north, center and south under the program “Tunisian Leaders for Human Security”, to build the resilience of youth and adolescents against intolerance and violent extremism.
As part of their program “Tunisian Leaders for Human Security” Free Sight Association organized a training session in “Communication” on March 10, 2016 in Tunis.
